Exercise daily to boost your immunity. By making time to be active, you can feel better, more energetic, and strengthen your immune system. Make an effort to take a brisk walk during your lunch break. If possible, use a standing desk at work. Take the stairs. An active routine will help you stay healthier and feel more energetic overall.
Why is it important?
Exercise and taking steps to maintain an active lifestyle in general can help naturally boost your immunity in a variety of ways. So, what are the additional benefits of working up a sweat?
Exercise makes our blood circulate faster, which helps white blood cells move more quickly to better defend our body against disease.
Higher activity levels can also decrease the release of stress hormones and stimulate the release of endorphins.
Higher body temperatures, caused by exercise, can help prevent bacterial growth and support the immune system in fighting infections.
Next Steps:
A recent health survey found that 60% of participants reported having fewer colds since starting their exercise routine. Follow their lead and avoid the stress of being sick this year by being proactive. By simply walking each day, you can start strengthening your immune system and decrease the likelihood of having to call in sick.
